Trip Review

September 2019, myself and a team of students from the University of New South Wales volunteered with Restore One on the trip of a lifetime. We were given the opportunity to delve deep into Cambodia’s history and communities, learning about the issues facing young women such as ourselves and of the staggering differences in opportunity and education across the world. We had a hand in building a deck for the Restore One School, painting a mural inside the primary school toilets and hand-mixing cement for the foundation of a new shed at the high school.

We also experienced the maze of Phnom Penh markets and the awe of Angkor Wat and its surrounding temples in Siem Reap. This trip has been filled with experiences we will never forget, and it has been extremely inspiring and rewarding to witness the tangible differences Restore One is making to so many lives. I would highly recommend a trip with Restore One! It is has been a wonderful experience we will never forget!"—SASHA DRYDALE-CECH
